DESPITE seeing his side slip further behind the pacesetters, Benji Hector remains defiant that Banbury can still mount a title challenge.
But they will surely have to beat new leaders Tring Park in Saturday's Home Counties Premier League division one clash at White Post Road.

"I still believe we're not out of the title race yet, despite what some people might think. Oxford showed last year what you can do if you have a good second half to the season," said Hector.

"So I'm looking forward to playing Tring Park on Saturday. It will be the third time we've played the leaders and hopefully it will be third time lucky.

"But it shows how competitive this league is that each time a team goes top they can't stay there for long.

"We were missing three key players last week. From this weekend on we should have more consistency in the squad."

Chris Smith comes back into the side on Saturday, Nathan Hawkes could be available but Jamie Noble is still missing with a shoulder problem.
