Portraits in stately home come alive at library presentation
The Friends of the Community of Adderbury Library will be hosting the talk entitled The Waddesdon ‘IT’ Girls.
Waddesdon Manor was built by Baron Ferdinand de Rothschild between 1874 and 1885 to display his outstanding collection of arts and to entertain the fashionable world.

Hide AdThe presentation will take a look at the fascinating lives of some of the ladies whose portraits can be found in the collection of English Paintings at Waddesdon.
The presenter will be Maureen Paterson a guide at the National Trust estate, who started as a room warden before training to be a guide.
The talk is on Thursday, February 25 at 8pm in the library. Tickets are £7 and include a glass of wine or soft drink. They are available from the library or by email from Keith Mitchell on [email protected] Proceeds will help keep the library running.
