A Brackley teenager reached a milestone over the Christmas holidays with the Banbury Gliding Club.

Oliver Ramsay, who is from Brackley and aged 15, flew alone in a Banbury gliding club glider towed into the sky by a tow plane on Sunday December 27.

Oliver, who is a ‘junior’ member of the Banbury gliding club based at Hinton-in-the-Hedges airfield plans to have a career in flying, started gliding aged 14.
