Car hits pub wall

A DRIVER was taken to hospital with serious injuries after his car crashed into a pub wall in Byfield.

The collision happened at about 11.05pm on Sunday July 20 on Banbury Road.

The Honda Accord car was travelling towards Daventry but left the road and collided with roadsigns and then the external wall of the Cross Tree Inn causing considerable structural damage

The driver of the car, a 28 year old man from Chipping Warden, was taken to Horton General Hospital in Banbury.

The road was partly closed for around five hours to allow the scene to be made safe and forensically examined.
