Ford salutes his players after coming through tough test
A solitary first half penalty from Ricky Johnson earned the Puritans three more Division One South & West points in Saturday’s tough test at Didcot Town, where Ford was without several players through illness.
Ford said: “Andy Ballard got Didcot fired up and they were really up for it. They stopped us playing but for all their endeavour and pressure I can’t recall Jack Harding making a save.

“This was always going to be a tough game, Andy has got Didcot playing the way he wants them to now that he’s got the job permanently. They made it difficult for us but my players were outstanding in a different way.
“You don’t always win games of football how you want to over the course of a season, sometimes you have to do it a different way and we did that at Didcot. We’ve had difficult games before and we’ve had to battle for victories.”
