Ponies and furry animals to pamper and walking with alpacas are among many attractions at the Fairytale Farm Festival in Chipping Norton this summer holiday.

Fairytale Festival 2022 has started at Fairytale Farm and will run every day until September 4. Fairytale Farm is Oxfordshire’s No 1 farm attraction according to Trip Advisor.

The festival is the first since 2019.

Farm owner Nick Laister said: "We ran our first ever Fairytale Festival in 2018. It was such a big success that we did it again in 2019. We were all set for our third Fairytale Festival in 2020 when it had to be cancelled due to Covid.

"We didn't feel that we could operate it safely in 2021 either but we are now happy that we can finally go ahead with our third Fairytale Festival for 2022. It will be very different to previous years, with a whole range of new activities."

"It is an almost entirely outdoor event and has a packed and varying programme of games, shows and activities running all day long, all designed for families to join in with. It's going to be great fun and there won't be a dull moment,” he said.

With interactive fairy tale storytelling, a puppet show, crafts and summer games, there will be something for everyone, with activities running all day. Activities include:

Hansel & Gretel’s Cottage Crafts, a Canal Boat Challenge, Giant Skittles ‘It’s a Knockout’ Challenge, Interactive Storytelling and a Puppet Show Workshop and Show.
