Firefighters from Deddington rescued a Muntjac deer that had become trapped down a disused water drainage shaft.

Crews from the Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service made the rescue Friday morning, December 4.

The deer appeared uninjured and tried to jump out enabling a firefighter to catch it.

The crew then carefully lifted it out and released it back into wild.
