Residents of the Banbury area are being asked to put their bins out especially early to help council bin men during this week’s heatwave.

Cherwell District Council environmental health officers tweeted today (Tuesday): “Hot temperatures are predicted for this week. From Wednesday-Friday, August 10-12 our crews will start work earlier at 6.30am so they have less to do during the hottest part of the day.

"To help with this, please can you put your bins/caddies out for collection by 6am. Thank you.”
